DLSite still ain't safe from the bullshit.

 

    DLSite is never any safe from the wave of people trying to get content censored at the source. Despite the previous effort to slip past the censors snooping around their own site, it was not enough as DLSite had to unfortunately implement a new measure. The good news, is that we don't see games disappear from the market all together. The bad news, some DLSite already got a warning email in regards to games being region locked from accessing. I engaged in a conversation on Twitter. I tested things myself. I can say, this is true. I took on an experiment on DLSite to confirm it's region lock.

    First off, how come I didn't get the warning email? I remember registering for a membership in DLSite before DLSite English came to reality. This is a good chance as to this being the reason why I did not get that warning email. If it is not that, this must be the case that my warning was censored out of existence before it got me. Let's hope that is not the case.

    I recently did a test just now. going through one of my older emails from DLSite giving me an expired coupon. The email was from 2023. Let's take a look at Utouto Suyauya. This game has english language support. Here is the example photo right here:

Allow me to search the game on DLSite and see what I found out. Turns out, can't find it. I got an error:

Even when I type in Japanese, No luck.

    This is all linked to a concerning trend where payment processors and banks would go after storefronts and threatening to either delete "problematic" games and block them from sale or they not do business and will close the bank account otherwise.
